Mail Order Pharmacy

A patient requiring prescription assistance past the initial 60-day period in Bridges to Access will receive refills for most medicines through our mail order pharmacy.

An Advocate will receive an enrollment confirmation letter containing instructions for mailing the prescription for mail order refills if the patient needs continued help.

The first refill automatically will be mailed to the mailing address designated on the enrollment form.

Each subsequent refill must be requested by calling 1-866-PATIENT or by visiting www.BridgesToAccessRefills.com at least three weeks before the patient’s existing supply of medicine is completed.

Helpful hints for writing mail order prescriptions for Bridges to Access:

  • In addition to the GSK brand name, strength, dosage and directions, write the patient's Bridges to Access ID number on the prescription(s). This number can be found in the top right corner of the enrollment form.
  • Mail order prescriptions may be written for up to a 90-day supply and with three refills (if needed).
  • The Pack Slip accompanying each mail order shipment will contain useful information about ordering refills including the earliest date to call for a refill.

Before requesting a refill, please verify the following:

  • The patient is currently eligible in Bridges to Access
  • There is an active drug authorization for the medication(s) requested
  • There is a valid mail order prescription(s) on file with Walgreens

* NOTE: The following drugs are only available through Bridges to Access at a retail pharmacy and are not distributed through mail order, even when refills are required.

  • Most antibiotics
  • Dexedrine
  • Malarone
  • Arixtra
